    Because everyone listens to music!
and those who say silence is golden are dirty liars

    It's time for dancing!

    That's right it's [Music Chat]
The place to discuss all the sweet melodies you love and lip synch to in the shower!
But this isn't your normal, post every song I like so people will skip over it,
no no, you have to carry out a conversation and reply to previous songs.
But feel free to share your interests, don't hide the fact that you like country.
Other people do too, we won't make fun of you or the people who sing about their trucks.

Why don't I start out by posting a full album i've had on loop all week long.
It's great, and it makes me tear up.
and at one point scares the shit out of me..

Good ol' Dark Side of the Moon.
An album that was at the top of the charts for 741 weeks!

Please spoiler all your videos, as a giant page of youtube videos lags like all hell,
if you are linking to tindeck or other..non videos, go ahead and keep those unspoilered.

Dark Side of the Moon is indeed an awesome album; it ties with Animals and Wish You Were Here for my favorite Pink Floyd album. I really can't decide which of the three I like best.

As I was saying in the synchtube the other night, I once went to a Pink Floyd cover band concert and (despite that fact that the audience was 90% old drunk hippies making out the whole time) I really enjoyed it. In fact, there were a few songs that I think I actually prefer to the original, such as their performance of Wish You Were Here:

(This performance is a little different than the one I saw, but I think it gives you the same general idea.)

Also, ever since we watched the The Wall, I can't stop watching/listening to The Trial. It's so cold and crazy and compelling (and also NSFW!)

I heard that Roger Waters is currently or was doing The Wall tours this year,
it'd be great if I could go to one.

And I use The Trial in any argument I see over the internet.
It doesn't matter what is the actual argument,
as long as two people or more people are involved, it just fits.

I have recently been in a Pink Floyd craze, which I do with every band,
    last was the beatles,
and have seen The Wall like 20 times since last month, and I think everyone agrees that destroying a apartment makes for the best scene ever.

(Anyone can try and segue this out of pink floyd if they want ;))

OK Computer is an amazing album, too. It's just so...unsettling. (coughFitterHappiercough) But in a good way.

Also, I love the way the lyrics are written out on the little booklet thingy. That, together with the music, actually inspired me to do a twelve-part poem with each part inspired by each song buuuut it's kinda dumb and basically I just got really drunk off the music so I won't link to it here.

So anyway, what about that whole OK Computer/In Rainbows thing? And for that matter, what about Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz? Do you think they were intentional or just neat coincidences?

The 01 and 10 playlist was intentional, i think
after a quick googsearch, i found this statement
So i'd say that it was at least planned to have the two albums complement each other in one way or another. having listened to that, it would make all sorts of sense for that to be the case. It really does seem like a planned album when you do that. of course, it's possible that they just decided to mix the tracks in a way so that it would line up after they had written them, you know?

As for the Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz, i think that was a happy coincidence, but.... hell, maybe roger waters just really liked the wizard of oz

I don't think it does Pink justice to compare them to Radiohead but that's just my humble ass opinion.

This thread needs more metal. HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!

Savage Grace's Master Of Disguise for best album art of all time.

Also, Pink Floyd is always solid. Maybe it's just me, but I've always felt Division Bell needs more love.

High Hopes is actually one of my favorite Pink tracks. Jesus fuck it's so good.

YISSS. If I was stuck on a desert island with only one song, it very well might be High Hopes.
  13. Dr.DMX

Dr.DMX Rockin' In The Free World

For me it would be Pink's Echoes. But for some reason a full version of that doesn't exist on youtube. Fuckin' tragic.

Lulz, it's probably too long. But yeah, Echoes is genius.

If I couldn't pick a Pink song, I would probably go with this.

Probably my favorite Maiden track, fuck it's great.

spoiler for I don't want to keep bringing up pink floyd, but fuck, someone reuploaded the wall full.
    this fills me with joy!

If I had to choose one song to listen to forever,
it'd have to be take all of the gorillaz songs and put them in one continuous song.
I love all their albums enough that I don't hate ANY of their song....except sweepstakes.
    Pretty amazing live too
